All submissions are reviewed by a panel of arts professionals who assess projects based on artistic quality, community impact, and overall alignment with the grant’s purpose. Funding decisions are announced quarterly, typically within 3–4 weeks after the application deadline.

Whether or not your project is funded this round, we hope you’ll continue creating and consider applying again in the future. Many artists apply more than once, and we’re honored to be part of Wichita’s evolving creative landscape.

Receiving a Arts Council grant gave me the room to grow as an artist in a way I didn’t expect. It covered materials for my newest series and allowed me to exhibit in a space that brought real conversations with the community. The support wasn’t just financial. It made me feel seen as a working artist in Wichita and reminded me that this city values creative voices

Being recognized by the Arts Council was deeply meaningful for our organization. The Arts Awards Gala doesn’t just celebrate excellence. It brings visibility, connection, and a renewed sense of purpose to the work arts organizations do every day. The recognition strengthened our relationships within the community and affirmed that our mission matters to Wichita.

Arts Mixrs have become one of my favorite ways to connect with Wichita’s creative community. Every event feels welcoming and energizing, and I’ve met artists, organizers, and collaborators I never would have crossed paths with otherwise. These gatherings make the arts feel accessible and alive in our city.
