Creative Conversations for Wichita

ARTS MIXR is a free, informal monthly gathering for those who want to connect with Wichita’s creative community. Presented by the Arts Council in partnership with the City of Wichita Division of Arts and Cultural Services, these events bring together artists, cultural supporters, and arts-curious community members in relaxed, social settings.

Each ARTS MIXR offers a behind-the-scenes look at a local arts or cultural venue, including a guided tour, opportunities to meet people working in the arts, and time to connect over light refreshments. The focus is on conversation, relationship-building, and discovering the spaces and people shaping Wichita’s arts scene.

ARTS MIXRs take place monthly at different venues throughout the community, giving attendees the chance to experience a variety of creative spaces.

Join us for the September Arts Mixr at Mark Arts on Thursday, September 10 from 5–6:30 p.m. Keep the creative energy flowing as artists, makers, and arts supporters from across Wichita gather for a free networking happy hour in the galleries. Make new connections, exchange ideas, and explore the current exhibitions in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Come early for Mark Arts’ Artist Bootcamp from 3:30–5 p.m. Hear candid conversations from local creatives about building an authentic, sustainable artistic practice, navigating social media, protecting what fuels your creativity, and turning competition into collaboration.
